Q + A

What is a Mehndi and Sangeet?

Mehndi, also known as Henna, is a traditional art form involving the application of intricate designs on the hands and feet using a paste made from the powdered leaves of the henna plant. The Mehndi ceremony is a festive event that usually takes place a day or two before the wedding, specifically for the women to enjoy. The Sangeet ceremony is a festive occasion held a few days before the wedding. It is a night filled with music, dance, and celebration, bringing together the families and friends of the bride and groom. In our case, given this is a fusion wedding we will incorporate elements of both Andalusian culture with Indian culture. The event on September 8th will include a Henna corner for people to get Henna done between 7pm - 9pm and we will dance and celebrate, welcoming all to Sevilla and our wedding weekend!
