Our story begins in the Algarve in Portugal in August 2019. A chance meeting at Thai beach club, where Roopan was for a good friend's wedding and a spot that Gabriel often visited as he was working in Portugal at this time. We connected for a brief 15 minutes, not speaking each other's languages, and communicating via Google Translate and an energy unlike any that either of us had experienced before. We parted ways and to this day we recount this beautiful moment to one another - both wondering, would we see each other again.

Fast forward to 2020, amidst the pandemic, we reconnected while Roopan was in Europe on a work trip with Medecins Sans Frontiers. Gabriel was in Spain at this moment. Both decided to meet for a week in Tenerife in November after Roopan would complete her French Immersion course...well the pandemic had other plans in store for us. Roopan's course got cancelled and so they both decided that she would travel to Spain and they would stay together in a cute beachside apartment in Mazagon. And there began our official story - learning to speak one another's languages, connecting through our shared values and passions for sense of adventure, simplicity, being near nature (especially the sea), wellness, creating, making an impact and much much more. We have lived & visited Mexico where we have a very dear connection, Costa Rica, Toronto, the Canary Islands, Portugal, the Azores islands, Spain. The list continues, the adventures continue.

Our love is what is our greatest strength. Regardless of language, culture, country and society - we have persevered. Where will this love story take us next?
